Kuznetsova wasn`t afraid of Venus Williams
Svetlana Kuznetsova talks about her performance at Wimbledon.
The Russian tennis star reached Wimbledon quarterfinals but got knocked out of the Grand Slam tournament by powerful Venus Williams.
"I knew several weak points of Venus and I tried to make use of them", Kuznetsova shares her impressions with Sport Express readers.
"Venus managed to show her best tennis at the last eight of the tournament though she had some problems at the previous rounds."
"She seems to have gained her best form and her wonderful performance came as no surprise for me."
"The Williams sisters are said to win their matches because their opponents are afraid of them."
"But it is not the thing with me since I respect them as players but I am in no way frightened."
"The continuous rains told upon the players? performances but I tried not to pay attention to them."
"The organizers had to delay matches because of the rains but this situation is quite similar for me since I played in Berlin where we also had to wait much time through weather conditions."
"Of course it is very annoying to wait for a long period of time in order to continue the matches but we have no way out."
"Speaking about Russia?s Fed Cup semifinals rubber I have not made up my mind whether I will participate in this competition."
"I have suffered a lot of injuries lately so I should consult the doctor before making the final decision."
"I wouldn?t like to put my own health at risk and it would be a pity if I stumble in the second half of the season because of it."
